Poland is the best country for Higher Education . For international Students there is some certain requirements that they have to follow or fulfill. If you are an international student and you decided to study in Poland, you will need to fulfill certain requirements. Graduation diploma and Nostrification In order to study in Poland, you need to have completed a second level education and have a secondary level certificate. If you passed the International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate exams, you can freely apply for undergraduate studies at a Polish University. If you have Bachelor's degree you can apply for a 3rd cycle studies - Master's degree programmed..An academic degree awarded in a different country can be recognized as equivalent to an appropriate academic degree awarded in Poland on the basis of an international agreement.

Visa Non EU/EEA students, need to obtain a student's visa, which is issued by a Polish Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence. Short-stay visa entitles to stay in Poland for up to three months, while the long-stay visa - for up to one year. Extension of visa during the stay in Poland is possible, but only in some emergency cases . Visa can be renewed only once, that is why it is very important for non EU/EEA students to apply for a visa for the whole period of study in Poland. Students who have been issued visa for the whole period of stay in Poland do not need to apply for a residence card.

Residence permit

Students who have an EU passport are required to provide a residence permit. International students from non-EU countries must apply for a student visa in Polish diplomatic agency. On the basis of the acquired visa, students have the right to formally reside in Poland until their visa expires. Before expiration date of visa students must apply for the Temporary Residence Card in Provincial Office located in the city of their residence. On the basis of the Residence Card students' stay in Poland is being automatically legalized and extended. If you are a non EU/EEA student, remember to apply for a visa for the whole period of study in Poland, so you won't need to apply for a residence permit.

Healthcare & Insurance

Foreign students are responsible for their own medical insurance as it is mandatory for the entire period of your stay in Poland. If you forget about this obligation, you'll need to cover all the costs of medical care..EU citizens staying in Poland are legible for free health service, providing they present their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Foreign students, who do not have Polish origin and non EU/EFTA students, in most cases have a private insurance which is required during visa application. Unfortunately, this kind of insurance usually covers only accidents, without general health consultation with doctors.
